The Music Ministry, which sets the tone for worship services and provides music for special events, includes the Adult Choir, The Adult Praise Teams and a Youth Choir. Both Choirs combine make up a Mass Choir that sings at special events.
Members of the adult choir minister during services and other events at New Life Tabernacle. The youth choir provides music for New Life Tabernacle one night per month on a Sunday Evening and will also sing during special Youth Services.
Choir practices are held several times each month. We believe as the scriptures portray that we are to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. Members of the choirs meet to practice and to lead worship in the services.
On Wednesday and Thursday evenings, the praise singers and the special song singers meet at 6:30 p.m., for a time of prayer, so that these groups are ready for their ministry in the coming services at 7:30 p.m.
Every Sunday morning, the praise/worship team will help lead the congregational singing at 10:30 a.m. for the morning worship service.
On Sunday evenings, choir rehearsal begins at 4:30 p.m., and the service begins at 6:00 p.m.
Choir members are involved in a number of activities. These include:
- rehearsals (including teaching, training, and coaching)
- concerts for the community and church
- serving as worship leaders for all services
- social events for choir members
