We believe that a Firm foundation is essential to standing strong, and the Christian Education department helps lay these foundations through our Sunday School. From the earliest stories about Noah's Ark to more advanced application lessons, children become better grounded in their faith by expanding their knowledge of the Bible.
We hold (Two) separate sessions of Sunday School which are held each Sunday morning. The first session, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:25 a.m., is for "Power Hour." Following the first session of Sunday Funday Power Hour, we have our second session of church kid called “Power Hour” from 9:30 a.m. to 10:25 a.m., during this second session we also hold our Youth Class for Young Adults, after both of these session our Youth and Young Adults join the rest of the congregation in attending our Morning Worship service with their families in the main sanctuary. During the year when most attendance numbers are down, especially during the summer months we go to only 1 session that starts at 9:00 am and then closes at 10:00 am for morning prayer for our Main service on Sunday Morning.
The Christian Education department has 5 classes, which are located in the churches facilities at 625 Soto Ave in the City of Corcoran, on the corner of Lorina and Soto Aves. These classes serve children ages 4 through 25, single and never been married. With an average class size of about 15 in our Youth Classes and about 75 per session in our “Power Hour” services.
We have approx. 3 -4 teachers in our Youth Classes and 15 workers in our “Power Hour” class. Because of this our children are able to benefit from small-group interaction with their teachers.
Promotion to the next Sunday School class is held on the first Sunday in September. Students must attain the age of their new class by September 1st to be promoted.
